Student Life

Student Life at English Castle
At English Castle, student life is vibrant, purposeful, and student-led. Beyond the classroom, our Stallions discover new passions, strengthen their talents, and grow as leaders through a wide range of co-curricular and extracurricular experiences.
Whether it’s launching a school media center, performing on stage, or competing in international academic arenas, our students are encouraged to pursue what inspires them and to take pride in who they are.
Academic and Creative Excellence in Action
From Physics Olympiads and Chess Club to Theater and Music Band, students engage in programs that challenge the mind and spark creativity. These opportunities develop discipline, confidence, and collaborative skills, all while allowing students to express themselves in meaningful ways. EC Media, our fully student-run media and news center, gives learners a voice and a platform, empowering them to write, produce, and publish content that matters to their peers and community.
Global Voices, Local Leaders
One of the highlights of our student life program is our participation in the prestigious Global Youth Institute by the World Food Prize Foundation. For two consecutive years, English Castle students have proudly represented Honduras at this international event in Des Moines, Iowa, USA.
Delegates are selected based on compelling essay submissions that explore real-world solutions to global food security issues. These students present and debate their proposals before a panel of international experts, demonstrating not only academic excellence but a deep commitment to global change.
Their success reflects the strength of our academic programs and the courage, intellect, and leadership of our Stallions.
In addition to representing Honduras abroad in Iowa, English Castle also participates in worldwide competitions such as the First Lego League, World Robot Olympiad (WRO), and Coded, where our Stallions won first place in 2025.
